Hey Colin, stumbled onto this the other twenty-four hours. Exactly what I need to prototype a new webpage. Thanks. At present I sympathise Smart Objects a niggling meliorate and the New Guide Layout widget is a jewel… My need is this: I want all the shapes fatigued with the Rectangle Tool to conform to a ii×three attribute ratio! I am trying to get a template with three columns of 2×three rectangles and four to six rows loftier. Any suggestions? I know I can probably get this washed with conventional hand placed individual guides, but after discovering the Layout tool, that seems likewise much, eh?

I just watched and folllowed your tutorial on how to design a page layout in photoshop. I followed it to the letter only when I was placing my photos they all were placed every bit black and white. What could I have missed or done incorrectly. Black and white is okay just the pictures I used look much better in color. Thank you for the video.

Your template can only be used by manually editing it in photoshop and manually editing smart object layers content and editing other layers in your template. It tin not exist used with Photoshop automation features like Information Driven Graphics for it does not support replacing smart object layers, Deportment tin can non use logic and a custom script would exist needed for each of your folio layout templates. Y'all page layout blueprint is not suitable for automation for there are no formal template blueprint followed creating your template a generallixed script would have know mode to know what is what in your teplates.
- It's not designed as a information driven template. If yous were doing large data driven layouts you lot should exist using Indesign or Framemaker
Hi Colin Thank you for the tutorial and the download. This helped with part of what I was looking for. The other function is how to save the template then information technology appears in the "New" dialog box.
